Well, we are hopeful that was the last weekend we had before Aida’s arrival! I have an appointment today and we’ll see if she has made any progress. I did some serious mall walking over the weekend, and I took Millie for lots of long walks through the snow, so hopefully she has moved along a bit.
As usual, it was a low key weekend. On Saturday, Matt hung out with his dad while I had a nice little spa day at the mall. I got a mani/pedi, and was supposed to follow that with a facial, but there was a scheduling mishap. It worked out, because at that point I was too tired and too hungry to continue on (don’t worry, Chik Fil A came to the rescue).
I also did some light shopping at Nordstrom–I tragically dropped and busted my sparkly Starbucks cup before leaving the house, so naturally I had to pick up a Lilly tumbler. You guys, I drink water like nobody’s business, and having a spare to pack in my hospital bag was an absolute necessity.
Saturday night, we went to dinner with some friends and ended up having an extremely unhealthy dinner of all appetizers at the bar. By the time we were seated, we were ready for dessert:
Sunday is of course a brunch day. I really wanted to go to Ted’s Bulletin, but it was so crowded and noisy we went over to Jackson’s instead. Definitely not as good as Ted’s, but that didn’t stop me from devouring a meal of brioche french toast!
And now, I’m ready. Ready to bring this girl home and start our next great adventure.
