Fall is so close, I can taste it in the air.
Yes, it’s still August, and I would very much like this month to get over itself and get out the door. Summer is basically over, so can we please just go straight to fall? All this fall-like weather is SUCH a tease–I want the real deal now.
Basically, everyone I know who lives in Virginia loves fall. The weather is perfect, the leaves are beautiful, there’s Hokie football to enjoy, and it marks the return of pumpkin flavored everything.
You know what else is great about fall? Bubble baths. Sometimes, we have a rainy, miserable day, and all I want to do is grab a book, blast some Ingrid Michaelson, and take a nice, long, soak in our ginormous bathtub.
|Once I saw the size of this tub, I was like “sign me up for a mortgage, please!”|
Before Matt and I moved into our new house, I bought a housewarming gift for myself. It was a $35 bottle of bubble bath–definitely a TREAT YO SELF purchase (I know $35 is not a whole lot of money, but it IS a lot of money to spend on bubble bath, considering you can get it for less than $5 at most places). We were only a few weeks away from our move-in date, and I wanted to be ready for that soaking tub.

This bubble bath is amazing and you should also go out and buy it and treat yo self. The bubbles are awesome, it smells wonderful, AND it leaves your skin feeling super silky–always a plus if, like myself, you get the dry skin blues as soon as fall rolls around.
I’m going to take this one step further and recommend ANY of the Lollia products. I have frequently used the perfume and lotion. The perfume sticks around and doesn’t fade, but it’s also not overpowering, and I absolutely LOVE the lotion. Yes, it’s a little bit more costly than your average moisturizer, but I have THE WORST dry hands from September-June. They get all cracked and they bleed and it is disgusting. However, this lotion works wonders. It prevents the cracking and bleeding, and it makes my hands smell wonderful.
|Wish is my favorite fragrance.|
So go ahead and treat yo self to some Lollia products. You can find it at Anthropologie, Neiman Marcus, or you can buy it directly from the Lollia website. In addition, I’ve often found it at local boutiques, which is a great way to support local businesses (in my neck of the woods, I know you can get it at Simply Charming and Zazu’s).
Now that summer is almost over, how will you treat yo self?
